36 x 48 × 1.5 inches | Original Palette Knife Oil Painting
Inspired by the wild beauty of the California coastline, Wild Meridian captures the dramatic meeting of rugged cliffs and the sweeping Pacific Ocean.
Rich copper, rust, and burgundy tones contrast beautifully with layers of slate blue, soft lavender, and cool mineral grays. Bold, expressive palette-knife strokes bring movement and texture to the rocky headlands, while the winding shoreline draws the eye toward a soft, atmospheric horizon.
I particularly love the sense of movement in this piece, with the sculptural cliffs anchoring the composition against the openness of the sea and sky. There's a wonderful balance between the bold, energetic knife work and the quieter passages of color.
Created entirely with palette knives, Wild Meridian is a richly textured original impasto painting that brings a contemporary interpretation of the California coast into any space.
