Original Italy Paintings
Italy has been a recurring source of inspiration in my landscape work — from sunlit villages and vineyard hillsides to coastal views, old stone architecture and the warm, earthy color that seems to belong naturally to the Italian landscape.
My Italy paintings are created in my signature palette-knife and impasto style, using layered texture, expressive color and simplified shapes rather than literal photographic detail. I’m interested in the feeling of a place: the warmth of the light, the rhythm of the land, the contrast between old architecture and open sky, and the colors that remain in memory long after a trip is over.
These original Italian landscape paintings are part of my broader body of contemporary landscape work and are available directly through my studio.

Palette Knife Paintings Inspired by Italy
I work primarily with a palette knife, building the surface of each painting through layers of thick, expressive paint.
For Italian landscapes, I especially love the contrast between warm earth tones and cooler atmospheric color — ochres, siennas, terracotta, olive, cream, muted lavender and blue, often with brighter accents placed selectively throughout the painting.
The goal isn’t to reproduce a location exactly. I want the painting to hold onto what made the place memorable in the first place: the light, the color, the architecture, the distance and the atmosphere.
