Golden Passage

Inspired by my annual fall trips to the Eastern Sierra near Yosemite, when the aspens turn and the whole landscape shifts into gold.
I wanted this one to feel like that familiar drive through the mountains, with white trunks, warm autumn color, cool water, and those little pockets of light that make you want to stop the car and stay awhile. Painted entirely with palette knives, with lots of thick texture and movement throughout.
The 1.5-inch painted edges allow it to be displayed with or without a frame.
