Inspired by that feeling of walking through the trees in fall, when the light softens and everything starts to turn gold.
I loved building up the white trunks against the warmer rust, ochre and golden tones, with touches of soft blue opening up the space behind them. The path leads the eye into the painting and gives it a sense of movement, while all that thick palette knife texture keeps it tactile and alive up close.
It feels warm, layered, and autumnal. A piece with plenty of texture and color, but still a calm place for the eye to land
