FAQS
What is your process for live wedding painting?
Live wedding painting is quite different to Lisa's typical studio painting.
Event painting is far more of an immersive experience than just an actual physical painting.
Your guests, already feeling excited by the romantic aura of the wedding experience, will relish the visually enticing view of a professional artist engrossed in their passion of painting.
Lisa is a presentable and personable artist, who loves people, so is well equipped to chat with your guests as they inevitably succumb to their curiosity, and ask her questions about her process.
Lisa is flexible with you on your preference for where she should set up and paint, and what she should include. Lisa is a palette knife painter, so keep in mind that people will usually be represented in an abstract fashion.
After communication to secure and discuss the details of the event, Lisa will arrive around two hours prior to to set up and mentally prepare to get in to her creative space.
She will paint in her usual energetic and gestural style during the event, whilst chatting to your guests if they engage her. The purpose of this time is to create a beautiful atmosphere for your families and friends, probably something none of them have even experienced before, rather than finishing the piece then and there.
If Lisa does not finish your painting during the event, she will then finish and touch up your painting in her studio afterwards, and ship it to you securely once it is dry.
Not only will the bride and groom have an amazing memento of their most cherished day, visitors to their home who were present at the wedding will remember and feel connected with the day as well! How amazing!

When will I get my painting?
If Lisa completes your painting during the event, you are welcome to take it then and there. The sides will not be painted as it will not be dry. Lisa works in quality oil paint, which takes many days to dry, and with her palette knife technique the paint is very thick, so takes a couple of weeks to dry enough to handle. Paintings usually ship out via FedEX about 2-3 weeks after they are finished.
