In the northern coastal region of California, past San Francisco, you'll find the quiet and idyllic region of Mendocino. This particular area is the Mendocino Headlands State Park, with towering bluffs, and colorful wildflowers such as the coastal daisies and California poppies in this piece.

The color palette on this piece features deep emerald green, ocher and cerulean blue, complimenting the magenta and orange wildflowers, and lush texture with large kinetic palette knife strokes.

I was inspired to paint this piece after a painting trip over summer, I'm in love with Mendocino!
