A textured Deep Impasto palette knife painting in oil by an award winning San Francisco Bay artist, featuring a colorful and textured Sonoma landscape painting.
This painting was inspired by my trip to the gorgeous Sonoma region, where the wine country hills glow in the soft early evening light. Back in my studio in the San Francisco Bay, I captured this scene with my palette knives, using my summer palette of blues, greens and yellows. I love the purple lupins in the foreground, and the Van Gogh sun descending beyond the hills.
