My Deep Impasto Technique
The word 'impasto' is Italian in origin; in which it means 'dough' or 'mixture'. It is well known in the art world as a technique where paint is applied in very thick layers, and the brush, or painting knife strokes are visible. When dried, the textured paint has a 3D appearance, and is highly tactile. My technique takes on an even deeper texture, with paint rolling over the edges of the canvas.
